Hi, I'm Megan.
I started appreciating plants when I bought and moved into my first home, a flat in Edinburgh city centre. I absolutely love my flat and love Edinburgh but over the past few years I have found myself occasionally missing the luxury and atmosphere that comes from having your own garden, so I started slowly accumulating houseplants in an attempt to bring some greenery into my home.
It turns out that collecting plants becomes quite addictive.
Then the UK went into lockdown as a reaction to the global Coronavirus pandemic and I, like many others, found myself working from home every day. During that time, I found the greenery in my flat played a large part in keeping me calm and sane, and made my environment much more pleasant to be in.
Plants have been shown to improve our wellbeing as well as reduce stress and anxiety. And all while helping to purify the air we breathe. Having a selection of plants is also a cheap and effective way to brighten up your interior and inject a little personality into your home. Yet still, I found there was a lack of options available when it came to houseplants in terms of selection and availability. I also found it especially difficult to find interesting, colourful plant pots. This is where the idea for Beanstalk came in.
Essentially, I wanted to make the world of indoor plants more accessible to everyone and make them a little less daunting for any first-time plant parents out there and I wanted to bring some new plant pots to the table, ones that will look great in your home.
As we’re a brand new start-up we’re only stocking small and medium sized plants in the first instance and tend to work with smaller batches but we will be re-ordering stock on a regular basis and also have the ability to source plants so if there is something in particular you’re looking for, feel free to drop us an email at email@example.com and we’ll try our best to help.
Likewise, if you’re looking to place a large order for plants such as for an office please get in touch to discuss your needs, we’d be happy to help.
